| Physical Therapy Associates of Manheim
(PTAM) is a premier, state of the art outpatient orthopedic center, offering
the most up to date, scientific treatment available. We treat a broad range
of disability and specialize in treatment for all injuries to the spine,
shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee and foot/ankle. PTAM has had
the honor of serving the Manheim area and extending communities since 1993.
PTAM prides itself on providing high quality, personalized care and offers
a pleasant and professional approach to each patient’s case. Our
patient to therapist ratio is kept low in order to allow us to deliver
the individualized care to our patients.
At PTAM, we are guided by our mission
to provide patient-first care. Our physical therapists have over 50 years
of combined clinical experience and are skilled at delivering the hands-on
care that our patients deserve. With the addition of an athletic
trainer to our staff to provide on-site treatment for the Manheim Central
High School sports teams, our commitment to continued growth is evident.
The practice’s excellent reputation in the community and among referral
sources is a result of PTAM’s ability to provide consistent care and timely
patient updates as well as effective, visible improvements in the patients
treated.
Maureen
Halat, PT, OCS was recently certified as a clinical specialist
in Orthopaedic physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy
Specialties (ABPTS). Maureen is one of 3,900 physical therapists
certified in Orthopaedics in the United States. The ABPTS of the
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) awards Certificates to physical
therapists meeting approved requirements. To obtain board certification,
candidates must submit evidence of required clinical practice in a specialty
area, and successfully complete a rigorous written examination, which demonstrates
specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in a specialty
area of physical therapy practice. Congratulations to Maureen.
PTAM proudly serves Manheim and the
surrounding areas. Support of the Manheim community is a priority
for PTAM as the staff routinely donates its time, talents and treasure
to charitable events. Our goal is to make a real difference for you,
to treat the cause of your pain and to become a resource for your good
health, now and long after your therapy is over.
